COVID-19 Coverage

On the Line

From the isolation of our homes, AirGo is presenting a series called On the Line, which focuses on the COVID-19 pandemic and the people putting their bodies on the line to help us all survive and heal. Over the next few weeks, we'll be hopping on the line with workers in the health care, educational, governmental, organizing, and prison abolition spheres to talk about what their work looks like right now, and what we can do to help as we isolate our physical bodies at home.

COVID Stimulus Redistribution Plan

AirGo has created the COVID Stimulus Redistribution Plan! Find some direct methods to redistribute your $1200 to those who are being denied the means needed to survive this crisis.

We know that the danger of this pandemic isn't distributed equally–the structural violences that dictate inequity in the US also determine who is deemed worthy of help. Millions of people–including undocumented people, young people under 24 who are claimed as dependents, sex workers, incarcerated people, and many more–will not be receiving payments, while many of those who will receive it have stability that those denied payments don't. That stability is, most often the result of structural inequity and exploitation maintained through racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, classism, and other violences. If you're privileged to have what you need in this moment, join AirGo in redistributing your Stimulus payment to those who are being denied what they need to survive. You also can add your own suggestions as comments on the document, and AirGo will add them to the list!
